I finally took the time to upload an old presentation I gave at the very beginning of my thesis work. This can be seen as a short introduction to the Internet of things in which I higlight the need to design proper user interface for connected objects. One of my main concern at the time was the ongoing disappearence of physical artefacts and the democratization of touch interfaces. I had the feeling that we were going towards an internet of screens rather than an internet of things and illustrate this trend with the example of the alarm-clock.
